We are looking for motivated and passionate young individuals who are eager to contribute to a diverse and dynamic learning environment.
Applicants to UWC who apply through the UWC Ireland National Committee should comply with the following criteria:
1. Age requirement
Applicants should be 16, 17 or 18 years old on the 1st of September of the year that they wish to enter a United World College. Some colleges may require additional information and potentially a background check for nominated candidates who are over 18 as of the 1st of September.
2. Educational background
Applicants should have completed their Junior Certificate examinations at the time of application. An equivalent state examination will be considered by UWC Ireland should the applicant meet the other eligibility criteria.
3. Residency and nationality
Successful applicants will be representing Ireland at United World Colleges. Therefore, applicants should be Irish citizens or have lived in Ireland (including Northern Ireland) for at least 3 of the 5 years prior to applying.

Do remember that you can only submit one application to study at UWC per year, regardless of the method – so if you are eligible to apply via multiple UWC national committees, you must pick one.
4. Selection Day availability
Applicants selected for interview must be available to attend the individual and group in person interviews. These are usually held on a Saturday in early February.
5. Language requirements
UWC schools and colleges primarily use English as the language of instruction. While fluency is not required at the time of application, applicants are advised to attain a basic proficiency in English and demonstrate a willingness to improve their language skills.
