The UWC Ireland National Committee follows a thorough and well-rounded selection process to identify motivated and talented young individuals who align with UWC’s values and mission.
Before starting your application, we suggest you:
UWC Ireland uses an online application system; there are multiple sections to complete, including 2 essays and getting recommendations from others. It is likely to take a few hours to complete.
Please see the instructions on how to apply via Survey Monkey Apply below:
Do note, you will need to manually mark each task as complete as you go. The tasks do not need to be completed in order, and you may need to go back to one to mark it as complete later on. For example, once your parent/guardian has completed their information, you’ll need to go back and mark it as complete.
If you have any difficulty accessing the form for whatever reason, please email us and we will help you out. We are also very happy to answer questions about the form or selection in general.
For further information on alternative ways to apply to UWC to study the IB, please visit this page.
The in-person Selection day is usually in Mid-February of the year the scholarship will start.
We look forward to receiving your application and welcoming you to the UWC community!
Below you can find the details of the scholarships we had on offer for last year’s cycle.
For 2025 entry, we had 5 places available, 2 up-to-fully-funded and 3 partially-funded. All scholarship places are needs-based and will require a financial assessment to be completed. 2025 entry scholarships have now been awarded.
